Thread: Sad day in the USA

Today I learned that Anheuser-Busch has been purchased by InBev a Beer Maker from Belgium.

What the heck is going on? This is just not right!

Budweiser is not even American anymore, It is a sad day indeed.

Labatt Blue is much better anyways

Well, Coors is not American, it is Canadian.
Miller Brewing is South African.

A friend of mine, I've known for years, works in Belgium for Inbev.
They are huge and own beer companies all over the world.

Had similar things happen in recent years in the UK with the car industry its strange when companies associated with a particular country or culture are taken over.

their headquarters will remain in St. Louis. Inbev has been around since 1253, so it's not like they don't know beer.

I'll bet you that's no longer the case.

From what my friend has told me, they definitely know beer.
They also definitely know streamlining.

I would be surprised if the 12 breweries are still around after 5 years.

Doesn't bother me, I hate beer anyway.
