I saw the show and really felt bad for Bill... I think that the people were screaming some conspiracy theory stuff about the WTC being brought down by explosions. It's a shame that these people believe this because it gives those who are basically against the Bush-miser a bad name.

Sometimes Bill Maher is pretty far out there, but I believe this time he was on the right side of the argument with the audience members. They sounded pretty passionate about what they believed, but they are just wrong about what they came to the show to scream about. It was so rude to interrupt live TV - you could see that even Chris Matthews was even unsure how to deal with it (and he's had people screaming while he's been on live TV).

The little tangential evidence for explosives bringing either of the main towers' destruction or the building 7 has been completely invalidated. Building 7 suffered major structural damage from one of the main tower's debris - and this is what ultimately led to its collapse.

Having said all of this, I really think that there may be validation for some conspiracy theories. There certainly seems to be advance knowledge that an attack was taking place, and I really don't know what to think about what the 911 Pilots for Truth are claiming... that is that the Pentagon was struck with a missile. The flight data recorder for the plane seems to be off by a couple hundred feet. And - why confiscate all of the footage from the various security cameras in the area??
