Thread: Oil closed today at $95.93 per barrel

Price of oil continues it's upward trend.
For a lot of reasons, most of them valid.

When do you think it will hit $100 per barrel at the end of the trading day?

Now I believe it is Shell that has some huge operation in Colorado or Wyoming with a new way to get oil out of the shale.
The consensus is that the shale in this area contains more oil than the rest of the world.

Gas went up hardcore by me over night!

Yeah, we went from 2.59 to 2.87 in like 3 days.
Found out earlier when we went to the casino, that the wholesale price is sitting at 2.77 right now.

Is it because oil is going up, or the dollar going down?

One of the factors of oil going up is the dollar going down in value.
