Thread: Illusive yahoo SERPS

Hello all,

I have a few sites I am currently working on. I have good placement within the Google index for a number of keywords but I have found my Yahoo (and msn) SERPS are terrible. I admit, I have coded the pages with Google in mind but doesnt Yahoo also appreciate SEO friendly pages?

Are there any tricks to getting better placement in the Yahoo directory? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Its equally important...!

I agree Zeus...getting listed in Yahoo is quite important if your objective is to increase your online presence. It's not wise to put all your eggs in the Google basket. One algo change can leave you totally out. If you have good exposure from multiple sites you will better survive the algo changes that DO occur!

First, Yahoo Directory is different than the Yahoo SERPs. But, for Yahoo SERPs a place in their directory may just help if you can afford it. Also, pay attention to on-page factors for Yahoo and they put more weight on this than Google.

Yahoo is very s l o w to index.

If you're going to keep posting that, back it up or stop saying it, in my opinion it's extremely wrong to misguide people. I have the impression you're new to websites so you have no business even advising on this topic!

I think yahoo just change it algo.. my site move from 300+ to 10+ in Serp..

so true that yahoo gives more weight the on-page than off-page...
but one thing i've noticed this past few days yahoo is more faster in indexing than google..have you noticed that guys?...
