I'm loving thier pay per click program far above googles thus far. I've been trying it for about 3 months, and I don't know why I just prefer it.
Anyone else using it at the moment?

Yes. I use Yahoo and Google for PPC.
I haven't switched to the "new Yahoo setup" so I can't comment about that, but I'd say they each have their pluses and minuses.
Google: I like that my ads don't require approval. I type them in and they're live immediately. I don't like that I can't see competitive bids on my keywords.
Yahoo: I like seeing the competitive bids. I like that it tends to cost me less than Google. I dislike the fact that every ad needs to be approved before going online. It's an unnecessary pain.

I agree the approval time sucks with Yahoo, I just always have some form of kink/problem with google these days.

Google is starting to get too big for their own good, these days.
They are reminding me more and more of Micro$oft each day.

True that.
What's really pissing me off is some of my products are not hugely competitive, so you'd think the cpc would be low. No google does it the exact other way, I forgot the exact phrase but something about it being a low competition keyword so I need to increase my bid to even be shown! They should be happy someone is even bidding on it!

I've been trying to use the keyword selector tool all morning and it keeps timing out on me!![]()

I logged into my yahoo ppc account and realised I had changed some url's on one of my stores!mg: The traffic was being referred to my index.php via .htaccess redirect, but it was not going to the specific category. So I quickly redid it, pointing the links to where they should go per keyword.
I just checked and the editor who checked it this time disabled keywords! WTF they were already approved, I was just tweaking the url to be even more fine tuned than it was!

Zap, Yahoo let's us lowly Canadians use their PPC program, but not YPN? Interesting. Turds.
YUCK - too expensive!!!!!!!!! Adwords I find is much cheaper, anyone?

Yahoo finally upgraded my account to the new "Yahoo Search Marketing" account.
WOOHOO!
Now I can't login!![]()

And, to make matters worse, I sent them an e-mail about the situation and they apparently NEED me to call them to fix the problem.![]()
Great!![]()
I didn't ask to be switched over. It was automatic. Because of the switch, I can't login to my account. I sent them an e-mail, explaining this. And, I need to call THEM to fix it.
I did absolutely nothing to create the situation, but the burden now falls to me to get it fixed? WTF?!?!?![]()

I tell ya, if Yahoo keeps it up, Canada is going to invade their HQ.
I'm surprised that a company would force you to call out of country to fix a simple issue.

When I login to my old account, there is a button that says "Login to your new account now" or something like that.
When I click the button, I get a standard error message telling me to call them so this is surely happening to many folks, not just me.
So... what? All of us have to be inconvenienced?!?!?
We all have to call Yahoo to get Yahoo to fix the problem that Yahoo caused?![]()
That is just poor customer service. It pisses me off when companies act like that.
That invasion isn't too far off, DB.![]()

before we used PPC but we stopped it and just focus in SEO to have good SERP positions
Google's lame excuse, Increase the quality of your website/pages so that the keyword price drops ... This is just nonsense. Their 1 cent per click is totally bullsheet. You hardly get clicks with 1 cent bidding on keywords even though you choose a word on which NO ONE is bidding. Its like "We give you the option to select 1 cent per click but we will activate keywords only when you raise your bid to 5 cents" OR Increase the quality of your pages. COME ON, how much can you brain storm to increase the quality of your pages??
PPC campaign is the instant solution to bring traffic on the website. We should focus on organic search engine optimization as well.
I find that YAHOO charges me more than Google for clicks but produces much less in terms of conversions. Basically, I trust Yahoo much less than I trust Google in terms of actual clicks and how much they charge me. Have you heard of any publisher accounts getting banned on this forum? Google is obviously watching out for their customers and YAHOO is continuing to milk them to keep up their deflated stock price.
