Thread: Yahoo to Start Keeping Tabs on Your Searches

I got in touch with a couple of people from Yahoo including Tom Chi, Senior Director of Product Management for Yahoo Search, about their new feature called Search Pad. Essentially, it keeps track of your searches, figures out when you are researching things, and stores results of interest in a virtual notepad you can use for reference. The following video will give you a pretty good idea of what it does:

Good Idea, google just uses the data for its own improvement. You can not look back at past searches at google no?

Really good Idea... but it would be tough to beat google in search ..

yes it is very hard to beat google as it is the largest search engine.

This is old news ronaldco. I wonder if this feature will still be available once Yahoo's search is powered by Bing.

It sounds good for functionality, but some people might have privacy concerns.

If you could look back at all your previous searches there would be one or two amusing/embarrassing examples in there. Not sure if i approve.
