I hope to submit my new site to Yahoo Directory for $299.

Is it good investment?

Are there any SEO advantages in Yahoo directory listing?

$299 is a lot to pay, but if you can monetize traffic well, it should be worth it. I'm considering paying the fee myself, but what's worrying me is that I'll have to pay it annually.

It is not worth it. Spend your money on other things but not with paid links.

Whether is worth it I can say is depends on individual basis, same thing to the question is it worth it if I buy a $299 wallet or $29 wallet? I myself did submit to Yahoo Directory. I do find a bit expensive compare to the rest of Directory, in fact the most expensive one. But it does help on SEO, trust me. Yahoo and Google will give a little point if your website is listed on Yahoo Dir and DOMZ.

It is necessary to pay for submission. But the paid submission, your site will be quickly shown in Yahoo directory listing.

I would say no. As far as I know that $299 fee does nothing to guarantee that your site will be approved for their directory and you'll have spent that money for what?

I say use the free option when submitting to their directory and spend your money on other venues that will actually bring you traffic.

Even your have paid for USD$299 and it was not guarantee will be listed.....So,it will just burn your money.But some said that it able to burst your page rank.

That may be true. But honestly do you REALLY want to pay $299 for something you can do for free just by networking and writing quality content?

it's not worthing to pay for it.

I donot think its worth for 290$... and can not get much link juice and traffic....

Why you are ready to pay these much amount to yahoo?
Normally yahoo has low traffic than Google. So if you focus more on Google than it will help you more to get traffic to your site so please focus on Google it will help you more than yahoo.

ya it gives you some benefit but not much. Instant of investing $299 dollers in yahoo directory, i suggest you to buy some SEO services like social bookmarking and directory service. They give you more quality backlink after submission. And its stay for long time.

Having your site placed on the directory would give it exposure, but $299 is a lot of money to spend on a directory submission. You might want to check the other options (which might even be free) before doing this.

Yeah I agree with him. Spend you money wisely. Try to seek for another options that might help your site.

There are list of free directory you can submit there

i submitted a site to Yahoo to test it out but didnt see any noticeable difference in ranking. i can make better use of $299 that will get me better result than a link that will expire in a year

Submit it manually and free are the best way than using paid links submission.

It is requirement to pay for submission. But the paid submission, your site will be rapidly indicated in Yahoo directory listing.

Although is not guaranteed to be listed, but in usual case if the site is proper and submitted in right category, there isn't any reason Yahoo will disapprove it.

hmm i agree with you free directory is best way submission.

Yahoo is very important for getting the back link to our site but it will only help when you answer the yahoo question atleast 250.....then only its allow you to submit the link...

Its good to list in yahoo directory but they have a high cost for it, I think.
