Thread: Google SERPs VS Yahoo SERPs

I can see everyone is in the race to get the higher position at Google or Yahoo SERP. But i have a general complain and need to have right solution of it, the problem is that i usually do everything to get my website promoted in the right and positive manner but did not get expected response in google but getting yahoo. I need to ask all of you that how one can promote website in order to get high ranking in yahoo results than in google results. Is there any way to do it and get your expected results. Thanks

Honestly, I just advertise everywhere & anywhere that I can with respect of course - no spamming - and hope for the best because we don't even really advertise directing toward Yahoo but we are apparently indexed there & get some traffic, not sure how but like I said, just advertise yourself & I'm sure Yahoo's search engine will pick you up same for google.

should i wait for some time to get my ranking back or keep promoting my web content

Do not know the ways.. but found some similarities in both ranking.. for bing enterly different..now targeting Google but getting good posoition in yahoo too.. unfortunately not in bing

There is no special trick. Just have real content and promote with as many legitimate sources as possible.

Promoting your website anywhere and everywhere might not give you some positive results always. You should at least be aware on where and how you advertise your website. Unless you want to end up being a spammer and bring down the reputation of your website...

Firstly decide for which search engine you want to rank and target it. As their algorithms are different. I thought you should target Google as it is the major search engine. I am also promoting my website for Google and it is automatically get promoted for yahoo and Bing(without targeting). Our website have better serp in yahoo and bing than Google. But the main thing is which gives you results. Having good position in Yahoo and Bing still not given any conversion whether we have a good conversion rate from the visitors visited from Google.

It is always easier to rank in yahoo than in google.

I agree to all that google and yahoo have a different search algorithm like for example some of my targeted keys rank high on google but not on yahoo and some keys rank high on yahoo but not on google. but I think optimizing our site pages and building more quality backlinks can make our targeted keys rank high on both google and yahoo.

if you have done you might have not placed right google key word to make your site top in key word and you need to have lot of backlinks to your site in order to rank in google .if you have not done SEo then you have to do it
