How to get more traffic and top ranking from yahoo?

Yahoo sucks dont worry about it just focus on google and using good seo and web standards. I never get ANY traffic from yahoo yet i rank well for many terms on their search engine. I am starting to get some traffic from bing though.

I agree yahoo sucks but it easier to get higher in their ranking because they dont worry about relevance as much as google so to go up in yahoo just get as many back links as possible even if they are not that great

Yes I agree yahoo sucks because number 1 it is not the best search engine. But there are some good things about yahoo and that one is making the links all do follow. Anyways I still prefer Google. Google is still the best search engine.

I guess you should optimize your site in Google first, then followed by Yahoo. And when building links for Yahoo concentrate on quality not quantity. Quality links would be one way links from sites that specialize in content directly relevant to the content on your own website. As what Google also love

Our website receive 10 % of organic traffic from Yahoo But the quality of traffic is better than Google :smartass: and most convertable.

I don't actually optimize in yahoo, but in my surprise I'm ranking 2nd spot for the keyword I worked for google..

That's a novel idea. Sometimes I worry more about good content than SEO and my stats show traffic from many major SE's. Mostly Google of course, but I don't neglect the fact that SE's like fresh quality content.

I personally prefer Google as my search engine. I am not really familiar with how yahoo works, but I guess it works like how Google does, only Google does it better.

Thank your for the information yahoo is much easier than google. One of my sites used to be on the first page of yahoo but I let it go.

im not doing anything with my blogs, suddenly yahoo coming to my site by keywords, beliefe to our friends here, optimizing yahoo for se, is useless...

yahoo traffic can convert better I've heard. There' less likely to block ads and more likely to buy.

yahoo just gives you small amount of traffic compared to google, so try not not focus yourself on yahoo.

same question for get traffic from yahoo .. but i think its depend on site SEO keywords and backlinks so we must do hard work for site 1st then check yahoo

yahoo loves content and backlinks. So concentrate more on creations of unique article and submit it to different social bookmarking sites.

For direct clicks I guess, but I heard they went nofollow so it won't give you any Google juice.

They all have their strengths and weaknesses, but the idea is to capitalize on their abilities to generate money for us. Figure out their game, play to your advantage, cash your check.

If you are trying to secure top rankings in Yahoo you have to get as many links as possible. Furthermore, you need to submit your website in Yahoo directory for getting better result.

To be really frank i only consider Google ranking and don't bother muhc about other engines rating.

Well i don't know but when i am putting any keyword i am not getting satisfactory link from yahoo or we can say useless link i am getting why it happens?can anybody give me a solution for that?
