Before some times .txt sitemap was the good for slurp. yahoo algorithm has been updated than xml sitemap SEO friendly according the slurp.
Yahoo supports both text and XML sitemaps. If you are only gong to include URLs in your XML sitemap files then the .txt version is probably just as good![]()
As with Google Webmaster Tools, you’ll need to authenticate yourself as owner of any website you wish to manage. Yahoo will provide you with a file to upload to your web server. Once authenticated you can upload your XML sitemap.
Yahoo like Google allows you to submit a sitemap. The purpose being to let Yahoo know about all the pages in your site. Not submitting a sitemap doesn't mean that your site will not be indexed by Yahoo, but it may take longer before Yahoo indexes all of the pages. It is not known however if submitting a sitemap helps your site get indexed quicker, however It certainly won't do the opposite.

Use Yahoo Sitemap text files to ensure that all your web pages are indexed by Yahoo.
Thanks everyone for your nice support for my this question.
The site map for Yahoo:
/rss.xml
/atom.xml
there is nothing special, you can submit the same sitemap as in google
for all search engines we use xml site map its not only for google at all, however its very important to submit site map on search engines webmaster tools.
Yahoo is automatically read sitemap.xml from our server.
Sitemaps are same same for every search engine. You do not need to do upload any other sitemap for especially yahoo or any other search engine.
