Why not getting rank at yahoo as require?

Dear all,
I have done seo for a travel website, 3 months ago I have got 10 high competitive keywords, most of the keywords got rank at Google and Bing at first page and second page for UK location, but at yahoo all keywords ranked out of 3rd page.
So I want to know how I will optimize for yahoo search engine, Is yahoo have different method for seo in comparison to Google and Bing?
Please help me for this problem?

You should start social bookmarking, social media campaign and also participate on yahoo answering.

Yes, main reason would be that Yahoo wants to be different so they won't show same results as Google.

I just find out that Yahoo favors newly created websites that has unique content with link building being maintained.

Yahoo! search optimization techniques are same as techniques for any other search engine. It’s just that Yahoo! indexing is a bit slow...

Other techniques that you can follow,
- Submit your website to Yahoo! search engine
- Submit your website to Yahoo! directory
- Submit your website to Yahoo! social bookmarking website

Yahoo give preference to link building, Article submissions, Quality Directory submission, blog and Forum Commenting. So i suggest you to do these all activities to gain ranking in yahoo and wait for some time because yahoo takes time to crawl.
